Terms and Conditions
General Rules and Regulations
- Respect and Behavior: All students, faculty, and staff are expected to treat each other with respect. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Attendance: Regular attendance is mandatory for all students. Parents/guardians must inform the school of any absences in advance. Excessive absenteeism may result in disciplinary action.
- Punctuality: Students must arrive on time for school and classes. Late arrivals disrupt the learning process and will be recorded. Repeated tardiness may result in detention or other penalties.
- Uniform and Appearance: All students must wear the prescribed school uniform and maintain a neat and tidy appearance. Non-compliance may result in being sent home or other disciplinary measures.
- Academic Integrity: Cheating, plagiarism, and other forms of academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion.
- Use of Electronic Devices: Mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices are not allowed during school hours unless explicitly permitted by the teacher for educational purposes. Unauthorized use will result in confiscation.
- Care of School Property: Students are expected to take care of school property, including textbooks, furniture, and equipment. Any damage caused will be the financial responsibility of the student and their family.
- Prohibited Substances: The possession, use, or distribution of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco on school premises is strictly prohibited. Violations will lead to immediate expulsion and possible legal action.
- Transportation: Students using school transportation must adhere to the rules and guidelines set by the school. Misbehavior on the bus can result in suspension of bus privileges.
- Health and Safety: Students must follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the school. This includes maintaining personal hygiene, reporting illnesses, and following emergency procedures.
Parental Responsibilities
- Communication: Parents/guardians are required to maintain open communication with the school regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and any issues that may arise.
- Support for Learning: Parents/guardians should provide a conducive environment for learning at home and support their child’s educational activities.
- Attendance at Meetings: Parents/guardians must attend scheduled parent-teacher meetings, conferences, and other school events. This is essential for staying informed about their child’s progress and the school’s expectations.
- Timely Fee Payment: Parents/guardians are responsible for paying school fees on time. Failure to do so for successive two months may result in the suspension of the student’s enrollment or participation in school activities.
- Student Behavior: Parents/guardians are expected to reinforce the school’s rules and regulations at home and ensure that their child adheres to them.
Faculty and Staff Guidelines
- Professional Conduct: Faculty and staff must maintain the highest standards of professional conduct. This includes treating all students with fairness, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the school’s mission and values.
- Lesson Planning: Teachers are required to prepare lesson plans that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the curriculum. Regular assessments should be conducted to monitor student progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Faculty and staff are encouraged to engage in continuous professional development to enhance their teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices.
- Communication with Parents: Teachers must maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about their child’s academic performance, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Safety and Supervision: Faculty and staff are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times. This includes supervising students during school hours, on school trips, and during extracurricular activities.
School Property and Resources
- Use of School Facilities: All members of the school community must use school facilities responsibly. Misuse or damage to property may result in financial penalties and other disciplinary actions.
- Library and Learning Resources: Students and faculty are encouraged to use the school library and other learning resources. Materials borrowed must be returned on time and in good condition.
- Technology Use: The use of school computers, internet, and other technology resources must be for educational purposes only. Unauthorized use, including accessing inappropriate content, is prohibited.
Disciplinary Actions
- Warnings: Minor infractions will result in a verbal or written warning. Repeated offenses may lead to further disciplinary action.
- Detention: For more serious infractions, students may be assigned detention during lunch or after school.
- Suspension: Serious violations of school rules may result in suspension. The duration of the suspension will depend on the severity of the offense.
- Expulsion: In extreme cases, such as repeated violations or severe misconduct, a student may be expelled from the school. Expulsion is a last resort and will be decided by the school administration.
- Legal Action: Any illegal activities will be reported to the appropriate authorities, and legal action may be taken.
Amendments to Terms and Conditions
- Right to Amend: The school reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to parents/guardians and students through official channels.
- Compliance: By enrolling at CCES, students and parents/guardians agree to comply with the school’s terms and conditions as outlined in this document.
